George A. Cavender, PhD, CFS

Dr. Cavender is an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia, in the department of Food Science and Technology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in biological engineering, with an emphasis in bioprocessing and a PhD in Food Science, and is a Certified Food Scientist. His research primarily focuses on food processing and how it affects the quality and safety of food. In what spare time he manages to find, enjoys a variety of hobbies from home improvement to Warhammer 40K to home brewing to propmaking /Cosplay to LARP to cooking. A long-time fan of dystopian/ PA literature, he is excited to contribute to the track and looks forward to some productive discussions.
