Heather Ness received her M.S. in clinical psychology at Clayton State University. She currently teaches psychology courses at Middle Georgia State University and has developed “Psychology of Superheroes” and “Psychology of Video Games” honors introduction classes. Outside of class Heather attends comic conventions in the southeast and speaks on the psychology of pop cultural phenomenon. She has attended Seishun-Con, OutlantaCon, and AWA, among other comic cons in the Atlanta area. At Dragon Con 2017, she spoke on the Psychology of Jessica Jones: Mind-Control, Gaslighting, and Trauma.” She is the author of “Broken Heroes: The Psychology and Trauma of Marvel’s Defenders.” Heather writes articles on her blog and hosts a podcast “Super-Psych: Psychology of Superheroes” on iTunes.
